MAGRATH
Captain
Ron Magrath is the owner and Managing Director of Ad-Astral Aviation
Services. Ron flies Company aircraft as Pilot-in-Command and conducts
check and training together with aircraft type ratings for Company aircrew.
A pilot since 1963, Ron flew fighter aircraft with the Royal Australian
Air Force together with extensive instructional duties over a 24 year
period. During his military career he was awarded the Air Force Cross
and the Queen’s Commendation for Service in the Air.

Ron purchased Ad-Astral in 1986 and has conducted advanced flying training
and charter services since that time., His civil qualifications include
an Air Transport Pilot Licence with a Grade One instructor rating and
he acts as an Approved Testing Officer on behalf of the Civil Aviation
Safety Authority for most pilot ratings.
In civil aviation Ron has been the Convener for the Regional Airspace
Planning Advisory Committee RAPAC (WA) for 13 years, a member of the
Airspace Working Group for 3 years and was a foundation member, at the
invitation of the Minister for Transport, of the Aviation Safety Forum
for 3 years.
